Kremlin concerned about Trump’s decision on Jerusalem – spokesman
The Kremlin is concerned about President Donald Trump’s decision to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday. Tensions that sparked in the region following Trump’s statement “arouse concerns,” TASS quoted Peskov as saying. “We think that this decision is not helping advance, at least, in the Middle East settlement, but on the contrary, as we can see, is leading to a split in the international community,” he said. It is necessary to search for solutions through political and diplomatic means, “though the situation has aggravated considerably, for sure,” according to the spokesman.
