It has been a tough first half for Croatia in Moscow, but especially so for defender Domagoj Vida who has been booed throughout after comments he made following his team’s win against Russia in the quarter finals.
Croatia advanced to Wednesday’s semi-final by defeating hosts Russia on penalties last Saturday, after which Domagoj dedicated the win to Ukraine.
The Croatian defender was censured by FIFA for his comments, while coach Ognjen Vuckojevic was sent home from the tournament.

Vida and his teammates will hope to mount a second-half comeback against England to advance to Sunday’s World Cup final against France.
