Cristiano Ronaldo has failed to score on his home debut for Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, making it two games without a goal for the winger since his $117 million move from Real Madrid.

Juve managed to carve out a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Lazio, making it two victories from as many games this season, claiming maximum points along the way.

However, while Miralem Pjanic and Mario Mandzukic were on the scoresheet for the Serie A champions, Ronaldo again couldn't find the net despite a man-of-the-match performance at Allianz Stadium. Ronaldo also drew a blank in his full debut away to Chievo.

It was Pjanic who put 'The Old Lady' in front on the half hour mark, unleashing a sweet strike low into the corner before Croatian World Cup finalist Mandzukic doubled Juve's lead in the second half, and that was the way the game stayed, without Ronaldo being able to find a way goal wards.

Mandzukic's goal came by virtue of a Ronaldo assist in bizarre fashion, when the player missed an open net from inches out. Although Mandzukic scored as the ball ricocheted off his teammate's heels, Ronaldo appeared to not celebrate immediately, for which some fans took as "selfish" and "angry" behavior.

Ronaldo, 33, became the highest scorer in Real Madrid's history, during a nine-year stint at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, but will have to look to Juve's next game with Parma to break his duck.
