Basketball player Shatashvili considers finals with R10 Team USA the jewel of the Games of the Future

Liga Pro Team streetball player Shalva Shatashvili has commented on the final match with R10 Team USA.

“Frankly, I haven’t fully realized how serious the tournament is. It looks pretty solid. The atmosphere in the stands is incredible. The arrangements are superb. Why, the opening ceremony will be long remembered by all. You feel like you’re at the Olympics. Cool. There’s been a veritable firestorm of emotions after our successful finals. Well, they have subsided a bit, as fatigue hit us. We will rejoice a little later,” Shatashvili told RT.

He also discussed whether Liga Pro Team had expected to have a close match with R10 Team USA in the finals.

“We never underestimated the opponent. The American team was initially the much-fancied at the tournament. Before the game we thoroughly studied them. They have professional basketball players on the team who play at the international level. And Matthew Robles is in charge of the cyber part. We expected a tight and hard game. And it was. But the spectators should have enjoyed it, and the decider was the jewel of the Games,” Shatashvili added.
