'IDF doesn’t hurt children when it bombs Gaza'

“There are no children hurt by the IDF” - such were the words of Alex Selsky, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s office, as he spoke to RT.

That was just after two kids were killed in a bombing on Friday, with the visiting Egyptian PM saying he held the body of a dead boy at the hospital in Gaza and still had the blood stains on his shirt. In total, 19 people have been killed in Gaza, six of them children. Israel has suffered three fatalities.“We target only terrorists,” Selsky also pointed out, despite the civilian death toll mounting by the minute. At the same time the spokesperson advised all civilians in Gaza “not to be around the terrorists” in order not to get hurt by fire. “Then you will not be hurt. And then we call upon the terrorists not to use civilians and not to target our civilians and then nobody would be hurt,” added Selsky.  He also named his country’s main goal as the defense of its citizens.  “We don’t want any ground operation. We just want peace and safety. But if the rockets will continue falling and if terrorists will continue to target our children, we will consider everything needed to target the terrorists to defend our citizens as every state in the world would do, every father and every mother in the world would do,” Selsky also said.
