Covid-19: China holding up medical goods

China is facing more heat around the globe as new reports say the nation’s export restrictions are keeping medical equipment like test kits, ventilators, and face masks from reaching the US. The coronavirus pandemic led to mass layoffs and struggling businesses, and some of the world’s economies are looking at re-opening as the curve flattens. Meanwhile, more than five million Americans filed for unemployment benefits, and while the hope is that reopening economies worldwide will mitigate the economic impact of these lockdowns, organizations like the IMF and UN have said that this is the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
