Donbass: Restoring Childhood
Donbass children have been living under Ukrainian artillery fire for nine years now. Many of them lost their parents or have no idea where they are. Lidiya Kovaleva, who was an orphan herself, does her best to help these kids and make them feel part of a family again. Lidiya adopted 23 children and created a loving home for them in Donetsk. But when the Ukrainians began to bomb the city, she was forced to seek refuge in Russia. What drives Lidiya to continue her courageous efforts and help orphaned children find a new sense of a real family?
