Taiwan activated its anti-aircraft missile tracking and deployed its air force to ward off a fleet of Chinese jets, including 2 nuclear capable bombers, dispatched by Beijing in response to the new tripartite pact between the US, UK and Australia. Beijing views the pact as a threat to its dawning hegemony in the Pacific. Former Naval intelligence officer John Jordan shares his insights.
But first, a massive migrant camp in Del Rio Texas has shrunk from a population of 15,000 to 4,000 following a controversial transfer of migrants to Haiti, their ultimate place of origin. Vice President Kamala Harris is calling for an investigation into the move despite being placed nominally in charge of border policy by the Biden administration. Michael Johns, former presidential speechwriter, weighs on President Biden’s foreign policy, which he characterizes as a dismantling of any force at the disposal of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and an invitation to migrants, beckoning them to the southern US border.

But 39 still languish behind bars, and the Biden administration is looking into expanding it and refiguring the base as housing for large amounts of migrants while their permanent resettlement is arranged.. Critics point out that such a use could help Washington evade its own laws governing the treatment of refugees..
