The Social distance between us 

In ‘Poverty Safari’ – his first award-winning book – writer and rapper Darren McGarvey paints an honest picture of Britain’s class divide. In his forthcoming book, ‘The Social Distance Between Us’, he takes his argument further. He claims the pandemic has laid bare the contours of class inequality, but it has also shown us that, if the will is there, political and economic mechanisms do exist to solve poverty and inequality.  

Darren McGarvey joins host Ross Ashcroft to discuss what lessons we can learn from the pandemic and how to move forward from here.
