We often hear that a human life is priceless, which may sound virtuous as a political statement but, in economic terms, it’s simply not true. Economists have long attached price tags to human life, which like everything else on the market is susceptible to fluctuations. But is there a cost to putting human lives above everything else? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by David Henderson, a research fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
