‘French Open sucks compared to Wimbledon,’ says Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has vividly expressed his view over the second Grand Slam tournament of the season – Roland-Garros – saying that it “absolutely sucks” in comparison with Wimbledon.

The 24-year-old, who has been preparing for the clay court event in the UK, went live on Instagram before his practice session with British tennis star Andy Murray, openly expressing his disdain for the upcoming tournament which will kick off on May 26 in Paris.

The world number 36 who is more famous for on-court meltdowns rather than his achievements in the sport, was disqualified from the Italian Open during his round of 32 match-up with Casper Ruud for hurling a chair onto the court.

The incident took place a day after Kyrgios hit out at Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal calling them “cringeworthy” and “super salty” respectively during a recent podcast appearance.
